We are proud to announce this year's selection for PUENTES! Out of over 60 applications from Europe and Latin America, 10 producers with their feature films in development have been selected to participate. As a novelty this year, PUENTES launches its 5th edition in Locarno after the great success of projects developed at previous editions at festivals and in international distribution. These projects, together with other 40 in the past 4 years, have been selected for the PUENTES / Europe Latin America Producers Workshop, where they were developed over one year by the attending European and Latin American producers under the guidance of top notch consultants.

PUENTES 2013 features again 2 workshops: one in Locarno, Switzerland (August 8-14) in the framework of the Festival del film Locarno, and the second in Montevideo, Uruguay (Nov 29-Dec 4). Thanks to a special partnership with VENTANA SUR (Dec 3-6, 2013), free accreditations will be offered to the selected participants who want to attend the market after the second workshop.

The selected projects and participants for PUENTES 2013 include Argentinean producer Barbara Francisco with LA HELADA NEGRA by Maximiliano Schonfeld (GERMANIA), Chilean producer Eduardo Villalobos with THE LIGHT UNTAMED by Alejandro Fernandez Almendras (HUACHO), Ecuadorian producer Arturo Yepez Z with SUCH IS LIFE IN THE TROPICS by Sebastian Cordero (CRONICAS, RABIA, EUROPA REPORT), Belgian producer Marie Besson with THE BLOOD OF YOUR BLOOD by Stefano Passeto (LE VOYAGE DE LUCIA, TORTOISES ON HER BACK) and Dutch producer Danielle Guirguis with Joost Van Ginkel's LA HOLANDESA (170 Hz).

PUENTES is organised by EAVE in partnership with Industry Days and the Open Doors Initiative of the Festival del film Locarno, Mutante Cine and Ventana Sur, with the support of MEDIA Mundus.
